Another difficult year for Ukrainians, 2025, flew by in a flash. It was a year of serious trials for our citizens, but at the same time, it was a year of hope and expectations for the end of an unjust and terrible war. Ukrainians continue to feel its terrible consequences, but despite everything, they continue to live, work, and believe in a better future. For the Bright Kids team, 2025 was also a difficult but extremely productive year. Every day, like all Ukrainians, we worked regardless of the conditions and circumstances. We did not stop our activities even when it seemed impossible to work. Because we know very well that stable support today means a chance for a child’s future tomorrow.
We would like to express our sincere and deep gratitude to our community of benefactors. Special thanks to our regular partners GlobalGiving (the USA) and Poki (the Netherlands) for their unwavering support and generous donations. Together, we have implemented projects that have radically improved the lives and ensured the protection of a significant number of children and their families. Your help has been a real source of inspiration and strength for us to move forward. We are infinitely grateful to every donor who has supported our initiatives. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and trust — your support makes our work possible.
During the reporting period from October to December, our project activities focused on supporting the well-being and health of Ukrainian children. We continued the project “Psychological support and compensation for educational losses for children from vulnerable groups in hard-to-reach and underfunded communities in Ukraine” and were able to purchase the necessary medicines and consumables for Kyiv City Children’s Hospital № 1.
We also had an incredible opportunity to visit the Berestyn Centre. Our project manager and project team leader came to discuss the results of the interim period, exchange experiences with the pedagogical team, hear their needs, and outline plans for the future. She also visited classes of different age groups and met our beneficiaries – children who come to the centre every day to learn, restore peace, and simply remain children. Such visits are always about warmth, mutual support, new ideas, and sincere joy. We were once again convinced of how popular and important our project is for local communities.
During this period, we also funded vital rehabilitation courses for three of our children.
The total cost of project activities amounted to UAH 1 152 821,27.
Because of your trust and generosity, this is what we were able to do in 2025:
- More than 600 children received regular psychological support and made up for educational losses at our centres in Poltava and Berestyn.
- 22 children with disabilities underwent vital rehabilitation courses.
- 12 resilient mothers raising children with disabilities received equipment and training to develop their own businesses.
- 3 medical institutions received critical equipment, medicines, and consumables.
- More than 200 families in the most difficult conditions (Kharkiv region and frontline areas) received targeted humanitarian aid in the form of baby food, formula, and hygiene products.
- Three orphanages received much-needed support, ranging from building materials to a complete renovation of the kitchen and stationery supplies.
- In addition, students at one of the schools in the Myrhorod community received sewing machines, a professional audio system, and sports equipment.
The total amount of our donations was distributed as follows:
Charitable activities and related expenses: UAH 5 752 904,82.
Administrative expenses: UAH 658 903,41.
In 2026, we ask you to stay with us. Due to the war, more and more families find themselves in desperate circumstances and turn to us for help. We strive to maintain the same level of support at least, keep the doors of our organisation open, deliver essential items, and continue to provide educational, medical, and psychological assistance.
We also hope to expand psychological support programmes in communities that remain underserved. Demand far exceeds our resources, and your support—whether individual or corporate—is crucial.
