The third quarter of 2025 (July–September) has shown us that summer is not only a time for rest but also one for dedicated and compassionate work. We are sincerely grateful to our consistent donors, GlobalGiving (USA) and Poki (the Netherlands), and to all the incredible contributors whose generosity has enabled us to achieve new milestones. Together, we have implemented projects that have improved the lives of many children and their families.
We are pleased to share this consolidated report, detailing the project activities and key achievements of the Bright Kids team over the past three months. This period has embodied some of the most essential and necessary initiatives. The total budget for our charitable activities during this reporting period was UAH 1,330,246.85 UAH (≈ USD 31,295.26).
In July, August, and September, our efforts focused on continuing our key initiative: providing psychological support and compensating for educational losses for children from the most vulnerable backgrounds. This project, which began in June, rapidly gained momentum, as thousands of children continue to seek safety and stability. We aim to reach those living in hard-to-access and underfunded communities. Thanks to our collaboration with “Caritas Poltava” and “Volunteer League,” our centres in Poltava and Berestyn (Kharkiv region) continued their daily operations. During this reporting period, our centres reached over 300 children through regular classes. These children not only need new knowledge but also healing from the stress and trauma caused by the war. Our centres have become much more than just classrooms; they provide a safe and friendly space for communication, recovery, and development. Here, children can catch up on educational losses, receive professional psychological assistance to build resilience skills, and enjoy tasty snacks, engaging activities, and a welcoming atmosphere. This support represents not just immediate aid; it is a long-term investment in the recovery and future potential of Ukrainian children.
Thanks to ongoing support, we were able to fund physical rehabilitation courses for five children with disabilities, totalling UAH 125,000. We have been supporting many children in challenging circumstances, including Artem, a resilient boy diagnosed with early childhood autism at the age of five. His journey towards a happy future began long before he received his official diagnosis. Artem has successfully completed the 8th grade, attends an inclusive class, and even enjoys studying English. However, he has a big dream: to find friends. The ongoing war has brought new challenges to achieving this dream. Due to the occupation, the boy’s family was forced to leave their home, prompting his mother to reach out to our foundation for assistance. For children like Artem, rehabilitation is crucial for continued development and the improvement of their physical and mental health. Each funded rehabilitation course for Artem and many other children represents another step toward self-sufficiency, effective communication, learning, and embracing the world on equal terms. Unfortunately, the waiting list for rehabilitation funding continues to grow, while our resources remain limited. Many children urgently need essential rehabilitation services. Your support offers a real opportunity for children like Artem to move closer to their dreams of a fulfilling life.
During this quarter, our team has also acted as a reliable resource, providing critically needed supplies to those in the most challenging situations. We understand that for families struggling daily for their children’s lives and health, even basic items like a pack of diapers or a can of formula can mean the difference between survival and despair. That’s why we have concentrated our efforts on supplying partner foundations that care for the most vulnerable children, as well as providing targeted assistance to desperate families. For instance, we directed UAH 50,000 to purchase food supplies for families in the Kharkiv region through our partner NGO “Trokhy Vohniu.” This aid helped 50 families, including large families, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and low-income groups, to receive essential kits. We selected items carefully to include necessary everyday products and hygiene supplies. Mothers expressed gratitude for the high-quality laundry detergent, while children enjoyed the condensed milk and forest berry tea. This assistance is not just about material support; it fosters a sense of community and the understanding that we are here, together, to overcome difficulties.
In addition, we provided support for the beneficiaries of the charitable organisation “Zarady Zhyttia”. We addressed critical needs for the infants under their care by purchasing specialised baby formulas, vital medicines, and hygiene products, including diapers and wipes. These contributions represent more than just numbers in a report; they provide a feeling of relief for the mother and a nourishment source for the infant.
Our programmes look after the most vulnerable children to ensure they are not left to face a lack of basic necessities alone. Every Hryvnia, Dollar or Euro you donate is not just a statistic; it represents real change: dignity, saved lives, opportunities for families, and amplified voices of children.
