Dear Friends,
We are pleased to share a summary report of Bright Kids’ activities and achievements from July to September. During this period, we utilised a budget of UAH 1,558,566.54 (USD 37,524.17) to support numerous initiatives aimed at helping Ukrainian children amid the ongoing war.
Thanks to our generous donors, we purchased suction pumps and inhalers for Kyiv City Children’s Clinical Hospital No. 1. We also delivered infant formula and baby food to 84 babies in Kharkiv, where many families are struggling to meet their basic needs. Additionally, we covered the costs of rehabilitation courses for five children with disabilities, relieving a significant financial burden for their families.
Moreover, we provided food support to the Suslinets family, who lost their father, leaving Katerina to raise their son, Maxim, on her own. We are dedicated to supporting families like theirs. In our efforts to empower women entrepreneurs, we supplied confectionery materials to Anastasia Kharchenko, a pastry chef who balances her business with motherhood while caring for her son with a disability.
Also, in September 2023, we launched a project titled “Providing Informal Learning Opportunities and Psychological Support to Vulnerable Children in Ukraine,” supported by GlobalGiving (USA). This initiative opened a children’s space in Myrhorod and supported three centres operated by our partner organisations. Over 12 months, from August 2023 to August 2024, our efforts reached 1,425 children, providing them a safe environment to learn and grow despite the harsh realities of living through the war. Starting in September, this programme was supported by our corporate donor, Poki, who has generously endorsed our initiatives since the outbreak of the war in 2022.
