Dear friends, we are thrilled to share some very heartwarming news.
Recently, our team made a long-awaited visit to the Kirovohrad region. We finally visited the Znamianka orphanage and the Kirovohrad Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital, which we’ve been supporting regularly.
This visit was truly special — not only did we get to witness firsthand the positive changes made possible by our collective support, but we also had the chance to connect with the people at the heart of these institutions, review needs for 2025, and explore ways to strengthen our impact. We spoke with the leadership teams, listened to their current challenges, and visited the children — shared smiles, stories, and moments of true inspiration that fueled us with motivation for the road ahead.
Let us tell you briefly about these two incredible places:
The Kirovohrad Regional Children’s Hospital is the only facility in the region that provides high-level specialised care for children, including premature babies. Every single day, there is a fight for fragile lives.
The Znamianka orphanage is home to 147 children with severe developmental conditions. Many are immobile, bedridden, or rely on wheelchairs.
Thanks to our incredible partners — GlobalGiving (USA), Poki (the Netherlands), and other generous donors from around the world, this year alone, we’ve been able to:
- Purchase an industrial washing machine for the institution, significantly improving the efficiency of handling large laundry loads.
- Fund two electric stoves and a frying pan for the food unit, helping staff cook meals faster and for more children.
- Install a dishwasher, ensuring hygienic and sterile conditions for tableware — and, most importantly, saving the time and energy of the hardworking kitchen staff.
- Procure and deliver a mechanical ventilator (MV) for the hospital, as every 4th–5th child admitted requires MV support.
- Provide the hospital with medications and essential medical supplies.
We also saw how previous years’ support is still making a difference today, bringing comfort and practical value to children and staff alike.
